Okay, this was a last minute trip to Jb for one night only with Nathan and Ian since there was a free hotel stay at some The Zon Regency Hotel. So I left the chalet and went to renew my passport at ICA building with my dad, went home to dump and pack some stuff and off to Kranji Mrt station to take bus 170/160.
Here are some pictures for my rubbish blog:
(In chronological order)
Day 1 (Thursday) :

Riding the 170: Thats JB land.

Only 65 cents to travel to some foreign country.
Thats the sun which darkened me in time for the trip.

2 CJC kids (taken by an extra poly kid) walking through a tunnel.
(The other side leads to the streets of JB)

Some JB street.

Another JB Street from inside the cab.
(Mode of transport in JB: Cab/'bus 11' walk only)

Inside the hotel:
good place to play catching, 16 levels of fun.

Neatly arranged chairs/sofas/tables/tree.

Triangular shaped view from the 14th floor.

'Live' music from those 3 red dots in the picture,
who tried to sing Black Eyed Peas' 'pump it'.
(left hand side)

The Zon Mall:
like some maze game in my dream.

Hotel room view:
Thats Singapore, home sweet home, majulah Singapura. (as well as my reflection)
Those candy cane things are factories.

Hotel room view:
Thats a jetty with its boat and 9 cars.

Was brought to the nearby Korean restaurant with the recommendations of the JC kids.
Those were appetizers only, supposedly free, but the bill didn't really reflect that.
Quite a few of those are kimchi, but I ended eating 80% of the ikan bilis since I knew what it was.

Being adventurous, we decided to try some Korean wine.
Haha and that bottle is empty, because...

...the Korean wine is here! (5% only)
Appearance: Like soup.
Taste: Milky-alchoholic, as if the Koreans anyhow mixed it into some concoction during their free time.
Price: ??, but surely >RM30 since an omelete-pancake dish already costs that much.
Overall: 'B-' for you Korean wine, you'll feel bloated after a cup. Thanks for wasting our RM/riggit.
Generally, the Korean restaurant had good, laidback ambience , the service was not bad and the food was above average.
(Grade 'B' for you!)
Day 2 (Friday) :

Explored some malls, like what typical Singaporeans would do.
(View from some mall >>>)

(View from the same mall>>>)

Dunkin' Donuts':
Donut Craze.

The staff replenished the donuts after we bought them. (@%&$#%$)

Malay donut box.

Security guard with 'antenna' a.k.a. some feather on their headwear.

Highlight of day 2:
Dinner at this seafood restaurant,
"San Low Seafood".
(I'll rate it 9 out of 10 overall)

Alright it was only one floor, no idea why they called it 'san low' (3 storeys).

Dish 1:
Some kailan veggie dish.
(Note: Thats not Carlsberg beer, its just green tea, we are well-behaved JC(s) + poly kids, not so 'hardcore'. )

Dish 2:
Their specialty dish, bee hoon, which tastes surprisingly good.

Dish 3:
Eating the standard sweet & sour pork in Malaysia.

Dish 4:
The main one- pepper crab!
It looks like shit there but tastes great.
Thank you pepper crab for sacrificing your life for us.

Dish 5:
Thats supposed to be kung pao chicken, but since my hands were dirty with crab/crap, I only took after that without the chicken, so you're staring at kung pao.

Delicious meals come with delicious bills.
Plus, some cheenah auntie who took our order mistook my currently black chinese skin, thought I was some malay and made some racist comment on whether I could eat pork. So I spoke chinese [yin(1)wei(1)wo(3)sai(4)tai(4)yang(2)] and gave her the shock of her life. Hahah.

Travelling along the causeway.
(That distant image was our hotel.)

A lousy blurred picture of the customs checkpoint.

Back home.

Alright.

...then another empty 170 came and drove off faster than the first one HAHA, so much for cramming onto the bus.
All in all, despite most people's perceptions of JB, none of us were robbed/raped/kidnapped/killed in this JB multi-racial adventure, so whatever fears were pretty much quelled after this trip.
Terima Kasih (tree-ma-car-say) [Thank you] God.
