Fever!

What do you get when the World Cup clashes with Great Singapore Sale?! Great World Cup Fever 2006! So many things to buy, yet so little time and cash. This was the case when I went exploring queensway with three kids (kevin, darren, nigel-happy belated birthday!) on Saturday. Each store you stepped into had indian shopkeepers greeting you with the words 'discount'! It seems like they are trying to cash in on this once-in-4-years opportunity. Almost every store had World Cup memorabilia-shirts, shoes, bags, caps, video games and even boxer shorts. Besides that there were up to 60% off in discounts on other non-World Cup related items, with me and nigel purchasing a shirt each, giving in to the evil contagious sale!

BUT...with upcoming tests in the first week of june (don't laugh jc kids), I'd better stay focused until they are over, then will I get to join everyone else this festive period and look forward to being late night couch potatoes with other avid soccer fans! (:
